Pakistan veteran batsman and highest Test
scorer Younus Khan had announced his retirement from the 50-over format, and
the first ODI between Pakistan and England at Abu Dhabi was his final match in
colours for Pakistan.
Earlier, Younus was controversially included in the ODI team, after his
consistent run of good performances in the longest format of the game.
The 37-year-old Younis khan made his debut in 13 Feb 2000 against srilanka and represented
Pakistan in 265 ODI’s, scoring 7,249 runs with an average of 31.34, with a
highest of 144 against Hong Kong in 2004.
He also captained Pakistan in One-Day cricket from 2009-10 and took
Pakistan to the semi-finals of the Champions Trophy in 2009, which held in
South Africa.
